Bears Tooth

Bears Tooth, Hericium americanum, is a close relative of Lions Mane that is native to the North East U.S. It is similar in flavor to to Lions Mane with a crunchier texture and branched structure. Many people find the taste to be slightly more refined than Lions Mane. This cultivar was taken from the wild right here in Pittsburgh.
